Phoenix Fire officials rescued a dog and a pet bird from a house fire on Sunday morning.
The fire broke out when no one was home at the residence near Central Avenue and Hatcher Road. When crews arrived, they found the back of the home heavily involved with flames.
Crews were able to rescue a dog and bird who they say are "alive and well".
Officials are investigating the cause of the fire and say that two people who lived there will be displaced.
