PHOENIX — Whole Foods is still the most expensive place to grocery shop despite parent company Amazon making multiple price cuts since purchasing the chain, according to a new study by Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Amazon announced the latest price reductions at the grocery chain in April, the third round since taking over Whole Foods two years ago.

The new pricing promised customers savings of an average of 20 percent on hundreds of items, with an emphasis on fresh produce and meat.
