A Phoenix man is facing over 30 counts of sexual abuse after allegedly raping a young girl.

According to court paperwork, 24-year-old Carlos Quezada-Arce met the 14-year-old girl online in 2014. The two exchanged numbers and first met in person in December 2014.

Quezada-Arce would pick the victim up and the two would have sex, said police.

The girl told police that Quezada-Arce knew she was 14 when they first met and told her he "liked young girls and wished she was younger," according to the police report.

She also told police that she told the suspect she did not want to have sex with him, but that he forced her to.

According to records, on one occasion the suspect drove to the victim's home while her mother was out of town and the two had sex there.

Most recently in March 2016, the man picked the girl up--now 15--after allegedly convincing her to sneak out and drove her to a park for sex. A Mesa police officer found the two naked in a car at the park.

The girl was taken to a child advocacy center where she alerted them to the history of the alleged abuse.

Quezada-Arce, according to records, admitted to detectives that he had sex with the girl. He also told detectives that the girl's mother had sent him a text message in April 2014 telling him to stay away and that she was under 18.

He told detectives that he did not believe it because "[the victim] acted mature," documents state. He also admitted to having sexually explicit photos and videos of the girl on his phone.

The suspect was arrested and booked into jail on a total of 31 felony charges, including 12 counts of sexual conduct with a minor, 16 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, and three counts of sexual abuse.
