A bicyclist is in serious condition after being hit by a car near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road.
Phoenix police say the woman on the bicycle was going south on the sidewalk of 19th Avenue when she rode into the street for unknown reasons and was hit.
She has been transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car remained on scene and police say there's no indication of impairment.
Indian School Road is closed eastbound just east of 19th Avenue.
