PHOENIX — In an unexpected move, presidential candidate Bernie Sanders decided to take a stroll through a Phoenix neighborhood, just minutes before he was expected to speak at a rally at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Cliff Castle Chopper followed Sanders as he was spotted walking near 9th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard while on his phone.
Sanders eventually got back in his car to head to the coliseum for his speech.

When asked who he was on the phone with, Sanders tells ABC15, he was talking with his wife.
