PHOENIX — After nearly 20 years at the helm, the longtime executive director and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona is retiring.

“This is the right time to turn the reins over to the right person to come in and lead Ronald McDonald House for the next 20 years,” Nancy Roach said in a statement.

Ronald McDonald House caters to the families of sick children undergoing medical care at hospitals in the Valley.

Families can stay in the facilities at no cost for as long as they need.
