Take a look at the weekend closures and restrictions on Valley freeways:
Westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) closed between Gilbert and Dobson roads in Mesa from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Sept. 28) for rubberized asphalt paving. DETOUR: Consider alternate routes, including westbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway). Westbound Loop 202 drivers exiting at Val Vista Drive or McDowell Road can consider using westbound McKellips Road and University Drive as alternate routes. Please allow extra travel time.
Northbound Interstate 17 closed overnight at Bell Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 26) for sign work and freeway maintenance. DETOUR: Northbound I-17 traffic will detour along frontage road. Please consider adjusting travel schedule or allow extra travel time in area.
Southbound Interstate 17 closed overnight near Loop 101 from 10 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 27) for sign work and freeway maintenance. Both Loop 101 ramps to southbound I-17 also closed. DETOUR: Southbound I-17 traffic will detour along frontage road. Please consider adjusting travel schedule or allow extra travel time in the area.
Southbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) off- and on-ramps at Thomas Road will close for 60 days starting at 10 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 27) for reconstruction as part of freeway-widening project. DETOUR: Please consider using southbound off- and on-ramps at nearby interchanges, including Indian School and McDowell roads.
