Vandals struck an Ahwatukee neighborhood using spray paint to scrawl racial slurs and vulgarity along a quiet street overnight.

The graffiti appeared along Mountain Vista near Desert Foothills and Chandler Boulevard.

The messages included hate directed toward Hispanics and Swastika symbols.

"It makes me nervous," said Melissa Prichard, who grew up in the area. "I don't want this happening in my neighborhood."

The back wall of her mother's house was one of several walls that were hit. Mailboxes and two cars were also painted.

Neighborhood Services painted over most of the graffiti early on. Car owners were able to wash the paint off without needing expensive repairs.

Police do not have a suspect and at this point it has not been linked to any other threats or crime.
