Officials are investigating a deadly crash in Ahwatukee.
The crash happened at 51st Street and Elliot Road around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said a motorcycle and car collided just west of Interstate 10.
Witnesses told MCSO the motorcyclist was weaving in and out of traffic when it slammed into the back of a vehicle.
The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as 36-year-old Omari Clark.
MCSO said speed was a factor in the crash.
The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
