The police chiefs of Glendale and Nogales will interview in Prescott for the job of police chief for the north-central Arizona city.

Prescott officials say Glendale Police Chief Debora Black and Nogales Police Chief Derek Arnson accepted invitations for June 14 on-site interviews for the position being vacated this month by Chief Jerald Monahan.

A third applicant who was not identified declined an invitation.

City officials previously conducted video interviews to narrow the top five candidates down to three. A total of 31 applications were received during a search conducted in April and May.

Black has 35 years of law enforcement experience. She became Glendale's chief in 2013.

Arnson has 24 years of law enforcement experience and has been Nogales' police chief since 2012.
