While she was supposed to be taking care of her 85-year-old client, a Prescott Valley caretaker instead stole thousands of dollars from her account.
Bonnie Staneart, 61, was arrested this week after a victim told Yavapai County Sheriff's officials that money had been taken from her without permission, possibly by Staneart.
The victim reportedly confronted Staneart, who took responsibility for $900 worth of stolen money. She paid back part of it, but never admitted to being responsible for around $3,600 worth of lost cash.
YCSO says Staneart made at least 12 different transactions with the victims card and stolen PIN number.
She was arrested on charges of theft, identity theft, fraud and use of a bank card without consent.
