PAYSON, AZ — Payson police say a 19-year-old was arrested last week after a threat of a school shooting.
Officers were called to Payson High School on Thursday afternoon after a staff member learned about a threat through students.
Jason Burris, a 19-year-old Payson resident, was contacted and detained without incident.
Burris was booked into Gila County Jail and officials determined there are no further credible threats of harm to the school’s staff or students at this time.
No further information has been released.
