An Arizona woman is facing an arson charge after she intentionally set her RV on fire twice.

Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said 29-year-old Marlene Scruggs was arrested and booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center under suspicion of arson, reckless burning, damaging property and endangerment.

Scruggs told deputies that she was distraught over a variety of family issues and decided to set some paper on fire in the bedroom of her mobile home. She then left, according to YCSO, knowing that the papers were still burning.

Neighbors noticed the fire and called authorities.

Fire officials were called to Scruggs' home earlier in the day to put out another small fire. Deputies say she admitted to setting both fires.

Scruggs remains in custody and her bond has not been set.
