Yavapai County authorities are searching for a suspect who knocked out a woman and robbed her after she pulled off the freeway.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office says the incident occurred Friday before 8:30 a.m. on the Badger Springs Road off-ramp on I-17 heading south.
The 33-year-old victim says she heard an unusual noise coming from her Toyota Corolla sedan.
She drove into a turnout at the bottom of the off-ramp and stopped.
She told deputies she blacked out and woke up with a head injury.
The victim says her backpack and laptop computer were missing.
She was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Sheriff's detectives are hoping to make contact with anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident.
