Navajo County Sheriff's officials say they're investigating the fatal shooting of a man near Show Low.
They say a man called 911 on Saturday night to report that he had just witnessed a fatal shooting in a remote area east of Show Low.
Authorities say the shooting appears to have stemmed from five cows being shot and killed last month.
Sheriff's officials say an armed 43-year-old man reportedly threatened his neighbor who was standing next to a campfire outside his home and that led to the fatal shooting.
No charges were immediately filed against the 42-year-old shooter.
