Authorities say several pigs have died and others escaped when their carrier crashed into a wall Monday.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a trailer full of hogs hit a barrier wall on Interstate 15 in northwest Arizona near the Utah state line.
Four of the 172 hogs escaped and several more were killed, DPS said.
The crash closed the southbound lanes of Interstate 15, which cuts through the uppermost northwest corner of the state as it connects Las Vegas to Salt Lake City.

There was no word on if the driver was hurt in the crash.
