Authorities are asking for help in identifying two people wanted in connection with vandalism at the Grand Canyon.

Agents with the Investigative Services Branch of the National Parks Service have distributed a picture of a pair that may have spray-painted rocks near the Yavapai Geology Museum, northeast of Grand Canyon Village.

On May 22, a visitor at the park's South Rim noticed two people writing with cans of spray paint, and took pictures of them.

The pair painted the phrase "Evans 16" on a rock feature and left before park rangers could reach them, according to a release from the national park.

Anyone with information about their identity or location is asked to call the ISB's tip line: 1-888-653-0009.
