Interstate 17 southbound is closed at Cordes Junction due to a brush fire.
The Arizona Department of Transportation says traffic will have to exit at State Route 69.
Look for an altroute, or stay in your vehicle and stay cool. DPS & Bureau of Land Mgmt working to suppress fire and reopen the road.

Drivers heading to the west Valley are urged to take State Route 169 south to State Route 69 south to State Route 89 southbound towards Wickenburg to US 60 east.

People who are heading to the east Valley can take State Route 260 east to State Route 87 south.
