A Kingman woman is facing animal cruelty charges after authorities say they found a sick horse and burro at her home.
The Kingman Daily Miner reports that Jennifer Christine Lintel was arrested last week following a search of her home by Mohave County Sheriff's deputies.
Deputies say the burro was found lying on its side with a wrapped leg that was a dark color, swollen and "in an anatomically incorrect" position.
A Mohave County Sheriff's spokeswoman says the animals also were without shade, water, extremely underweight and in need of a veterinarian.
The 41-year-old Lintel was charged with two felony charges of animal cruelty.
It was not known if she had an attorney.
