Authorities in northwestern Arizona say horseback riders have found human remains in the Golden Valley area.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies were notified Monday afternoon about the discovery of a human skull and some bones in the Golden Valley area.
They say the county Medical Examiner's Office has recovered the remains and now is trying to identify them and determine a cause of death.
Sheriff's officials say the case remained under investigation Tuesday.
