A 41-year-old Arizona man awaiting trial on child pornography charges was arrested in New Mexico allegedly planning to flee the country.
Samir Mahmoud was arrested at Albuquerque International Sunport by federal agents. They allege he was planning to fly to Amman, Jordan.
He was traveling with a "large amount of luggage" and left his Mercedes unlocked in the parking structure, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
Mahmoud will be extradited back to Arizona. He had been released from jail last year on a $30,000 bond.
