SCOTTSDALE, AZ — The Scottsdale Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its canine officers.
Police say 'Castro' passed away last week from complications related to a brain tumor.

Police say Castro started with the department in July of 2014. In his six years with the department, officers say he went on several patrol calls and provided assistance to drug enforcement officers and the SWAT team.
The department says Castro was an extraordinary police canine and he will be sorely missed.
