A woman was struck while trying to cross an intersection early Sunday morning in Scottsdale.
According to police, around 3:20 a.m. a woman was trying to cross the intersection at 5th Avenue and Stetson Drive when a vehicle hit her.
The driver of the car tried to leave the scene but was later arrested.
The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Police closed down the intersection for five hours as they completed their investigation.
Alcohol does not appear to have played a role in the collision, officials said.
