Postino's newest Scottsdale location is slated to open next month.
Located inside the former Valley National Bank near Scottsdale Road and Highland Avenue, Postino Highland is scheduled to open its doors on Wednesday, May 4.
Upward Projects, the company behind Postino, Churn, Federal Pizza, and Joyride, said in its media release that it envisioned bringing the restaurant to this location years ago.
At the time the landlord did not want to add a restaurant, but when ownership changed, the new landlord called them and offered the space up.
"And we immediately said, in the words of Beck, 'hell yes!'", said co-owner Craig DeMarco in a prepared statement.
The 5,900-square-foot space will have an 18-seat bar, 80-seat dining room, kitchen and 70-seat patio. The inside has been restored to include accents of its mid-century decor, including original light fixtures, and outdoor water fountains have been preserved.
It will also have an entire wall lined with vintage matchbooks--it's signature decor.
Postino has another Scottsdale location in Kierland Commons and other locations in Phoenix, Arcadia and Gilbert.
