Scottsdale police are hoping to catch a man who robbed a convenience store with a hatchet and a Halloween mask last week.
According to police, the armed robber entered a Superpumper store near Thompson Peak Parkway and Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. around 3:30 a.m. on Friday and demanded cash from the register.
The cashier complied and the suspect left the store. He immediately returned to the store and forced the cashier into the back office before stealing cigarettes and merchandise.
The man then fled the scene on foot.
Surveillance footage showed the man wearing a zombie-clown type mask with gray hair and yellow teeth. The man himself is described as about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds with a slim build.
