A mother has been arrested after her 9-month-old child was found outside of a Scottsdale apartment complex all alone.
Scottsdale police were called to an apartment complex near 78th Street and Indian School Road on Sunday morning for a child that was outside crying.
When police arrived on the scene they found a child covered in dirt and vomit at the apartment complex pool gate.
After police were on scene for 40 minutes, 21-year-old Joanna Gutierrez noticed the child was missing. She told officers the she knew the baby was out of the crib and roaming the house.
Gutierrez was booked into jail for child endangerment.
According to court documents, this was the second time the child was found unsupervised outside.
