A deadly crash on Loop 101 in Scottsdale led to a closure in both directions during the Monday morning commute.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a northbound pickup truck struck a motorcycle stopped on the left shoulder before the truck burst into flames.
DPS says the motorcyclist flipped over the median wall and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadways have since reopened.
