A 2-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital Monday after he was found face down in the pool at a Scottsdale home.
Scottsdale Fire Department spokesman Danny Ables said crews responded to the house near Scottsdale Road and Dynamite Boulevard around 2:30 p.m.
A Colorado family is reportedly staying at the home on a family vacation, Ables said.
The toddler's uncle, who is a registered nurse, pulled the boy from the pool and began CPR.
Ables said when firefighters arrived, the boy was awake and crying but lethargic.
He was transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital for further treatment.
According to Ables, there was no barrier around the pool.
