CAVE CREEK, AZ — UPDATE: Family members say Jack Husband has been located and is safe. Family says Jack was hiking in the snow for hours without cell service.

Original story is below:
---------------------------------
Family members and authorities are looking for a Scottsdale teenager who went missing after he apparently headed up toward Cave Creek to look at the snow.

Family members told ABC15 that Jack Husband, a junior at Chaparral High School, called them around 9:15 p.m. Thursday evening and "indicated he was stuck" and then apparently lost cell phone service. He has not been heard from since.

A spokesperson for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office confirmed to ABC15 that deputies are working to locate the teenager. However, they are unable to use their helicopter because of the weather conditions, the spokesperson said.

Family told ABC15 that the teenager was driving a red Chevrolet truck. Family members were headed to the Cave Creek area on Friday morning to begin searching for him.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

While most of the Valley saw rainfall on Thursday, parts of the Cave Creek area received snow. It is unclear specifically where the teenager went, but areas around Cave Creek received between 0.03 inches and a foot of snow, according to the Maricopa County Flood Control District.
