Two firefighters suffered burns while battling a small wildfire being called the Laguna Fire near Yuma on Friday.

The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management says one firefighter suffered second and third degree burns, while the other suffered first degree (less severe) burns.

The fire started around 2 p.m. on Thursday and grew to eight acres before progress was stopped. The firefighters suffered their burns Friday while working to put out hot spots of the fire.
