Oro Valley Police and Pima County Sheriff's are investigating an officer-involved shooting near Calle Concordia and Shadow Mountain.

Lt. Kara Riley with Oro Valley Police Department said around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning officers conducted a traffic stop where the suspect ran. This led to the lockdown of Canyon del Oro High School for the safety of the students, said Riley.

Evidence from that case led officers to a residence near Calle Concordia and Shadow Mountain around 6 p.m. Riley said during this time shots were fired at the residence.

No officers were injured. Riley said the suspect was injured.

Pima County Sheriff's are investigating this incident, as it is common protocol to have another agency investigate an officer-involved shooting, said Riley.
