Student with gun arrested at Tucson elementary school

TUCSON — An elementary school student in Tucson was arrested Tuesday for having a gun at school and threatening others.

According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, it happened between noon and 1 p.m. at DeGrazia Elementary School.

Deputies arrested the young student, who is now facing charges of disorderly conduct with a firearm and aggravated assault with a firearm. No one was injured in the incident.

Deputies haven't said whether the student was released to guardians, and haven't said how old the student is.

DeGrazia Elementary is part of the Marana Unified School District and has students between kindergarten and 6th grade.
