A Pima County sheriff's deputy is hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle.
The Sheriff's Department says Deputy Jesus Vilvaldo was removing cones from a roadway while working at the Pima County Fair when he was struck Tuesday night.
Vivaldo's injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.
According to the Sheriff's Department, the car that struck Vivaldo drove off but was stopped by deputies.
Deputies arrested the driver, 31-year-old Daniel Doubek, who faces charges of hit and run, DUI and aggravated assault.
