Tucson border agents say a family of migrants, including a 5-year-old boy, was rescued after being stranded in the desert for several days.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say a man left his wife and son to find help Wednesday.
Agents at the Ajo Station received a 911 call from him and he was located.
According to the man, they had been lost for seven days.
His wife, son and another man who was traveling with them were found the next day by a Fish and Wildlife officer.
All four received medical evaluations but did not require hospitalization.
Cristina Ruiz, a spokeswoman for the Border Patrol's Tucson Sector, said Sunday the group was in the U.S. illegally.
All of them were processed at the Tucson Coordination Center.
