A love triangle on the northwest side of Tucson has left one person dead.

Deputy Ryan Inglett, spokesperson with the Pima County Sheriff's Department, says deputies were called to the 1900 block of West Harran Circle around 9 a.m for the report of a burglary in progress.

When deputies arrived on scene, they made contact with a man who they say was in a previous relationship with the female victim. 46-year-old Steven Leska forced his way into the home of the woman.

The woman was with her new boyfriend at the time and some sort of confrontation took place, said Inglett.

Inglett said the woman and her new boyfriend, 50-year-old James Kozar III, were attacked by Leska.

Kozar died at the home, said Inglett. The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives arrested Mr. Leska for murder, domestic violence attempted murder, domestic violence kidnapping and domestic violence sexual assault.

Inglett said the investigation is ongoing.
