Tucson residents have recently reported hearing loud booms in the area that the Air Force says are likely from training exercises.

According to a release from Luke Air Force Base, members of the Republic of Singapore Armed Forces are conducting night and weekend flying operations at Luke AFB and the Barry M. Goldwater Range complex

The training is to "provide the Singapore armed forces an opportunity to exercise and train their full spectrum of command, control, and execution."

The Air Force says the exercises are likely causing more noise than normal, and will continue until Monday, December 11. Aircraft involved in the training include F-16 Fighting Falcon and F-15E Strike Eagle.

The Barry Goldwater range is located between Yuma and Tucson south of I-8.
