Pima County Sheriff deputies are looking for an inmate who walked away from a work crew while in the Foothills District of Tucson on Saturday morning.

According to officials, Sarah Herrera, who was serving time for misdemeanor trespassing and shoplifting charges at the Pima County Jail, simply walked away while completing work at the Pima Animal Care Center.

Deputies said the woman was last seen wearing a red jail uniform with a red sweatshirt underneath. After the woman went missing, deputies found a white sports utility vehicle, that was parked in the area, where the woman's jail uniform was located.

The 22-year-old woman is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 100 pounds and is African-American.

She was serving four of her 18 required days in jail when she disappeared. She was last seen around 7:30 a.m.

Anyone who has seen Herrera is encouraged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
