A deadly crash on I-10 at Hassayampa in the far West Valley shut down eastbound traffic.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a tractor-trailer was involved in a crash with a pedestrian near milepost 105, which is 20 miles west of the Loop 303.
The pedestrian was reportedly involved in a single-vehicle crash before being struck by the tractor-trailer.
DPS has confirmed the crash was deadly.
Eastbound traffic was shut down for several hours, but reopened around 8:30 a.m.
DPS says the fastest detour would be to go south on 339th Avenue to Salome Highway, then east on Old Highway 80 to Wilson Avenue to Hazen to SR-85 and back to the I-10.
