Authorities arrested two people after a car chase Tuesday morning near Casa Blanca.

According to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, the pursuit started around 8 a.m. near State Route 84 and Anderson Road and ended with a crash near Casa Blanca and Murphy roads.

PCSO said a deputy tried to stop a possible drunk driver in a Dodge pickup truck, and the vehicle sped away up to 70 mph.

The deputy chased the pickup for about 15 minutes before a PCSO Air Unit took over.

Gila River police, Arizona Department of Public Safety and U.S. Border Patrol assisted.

The driver of the pickup went on and off roads for nearly an hour before crashing, PCSO said.

Both the driver and passenger were then reportedly chased on foot before being captured.

The suspect tried to ram PCSO and DPS vehicles during the pursuit, according to PCSO. A Border Patrol vehicle was hit, but the officer inside was not hurt.

The suspect vehicle was reported stolen, and both suspects had warrants for their arrest.
