Authorities have detained a man wanted for questioning in a deadly shooting of another person near Snowflake.

Gabriel Barnes was taken into custody Tuesday outside a home in Snowflake, Ariz., according to a Facebook post by Snowflake Taylor Police Department and Novajo County Sheriff's Office.

The shooting happened on Feb. 29 east of town, according to officials. Circumstances around the shooting have not been released and the victim's identity was being held until family could be notified, according to the posts.

Authorities listed Barnes as an "investigative lead" and were looking for him. Police said he was located in a home and then barricaded himself inside for two hours.

Video of Barnes' purported detainment was posted on the Snowflake-Taylor Police Department Facebook page. It shows a man walk with his hands up toward police officers, fall to his knees and then police take him into custody.
