MCSO says an 8-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after he was struck by an ATV Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. at a location along the Bush Highway.
Initial 911 calls suggested the boy was not breathing, but regained consciousness and was alert after a passerby provided medical attention.
Emergency crews arrived to render further aid before the boy was taken to the hospital. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
There is no word yet on exactly how the incident occurred.
