Four have been arrested after attempting to smuggle close to one million dollars worth of drugs through the Port of Nogales.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, three Mexican nationals and one U.S. citizen were caught trying to bring in large amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana over the border.

Officers say they stopped a total of four vehicles between August 25 and August 27 carrying, in total, one pound of marijuana, 55 pounds of cocaine and 123 pounds of meth.

The four suspects were taken into custody and turned over to homeland security officials.
