In a pair of seprate incidents, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a man and a teenage girl who allegedly tried to smuggle heroin, cocaine and meth through the Dennis DeConcini crossing in Nogales, Son.
According to the CBP, a 62-year-old man from Magadalena, Son., was arrested Aug. 12 after officers found multiple packages of heroin and cocaine hidden inside his Dodge truck.
On Aug. 15, CBP officers arrested a 16-year-old girl after finding more that two pounds of heroin hidden inside her bra.
Officers seized the vehicle and drugs, and turned both suspects over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
