Pinal County sheriff's deputies have arrested a 24-year-old man after a motorcyclist was killed in Casa Grande in April.
According to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, Pablo Alejandro Reyes was trying to pass cars in a no-passing area near McCartney and Overfield roads at a high rate of speed on April 28.
Deputies say Reyes did not see the oncoming traffic as a motorcyclist, 43-year-old Benjamin Barth, swerved to avoid Reyes and crashed.
Barth died instantly, according to deputies.
On Monday, PCSO deputies arrested Reyes for negligent homicide.
Reyes' arrest reportedly comes after a Grand Jury indictment, and lab results came back that showed he tested positive for THC at the time of the accident.
