A surgeon in Northern Kentucky is offering the world a glimpse into his daily life — and is hoping to teach a valuable lesson.
Dr. Royce Calhoun a theocratic surgeon St. Elizabeth Healthcare performed a complex lung surgery on Facebook live Friday morning.
Calhoun narrated the surgery as he operated while answering viewer questions.
Calhoun told Scripps station WCPO in Cincinnati that he hopes to encourage viewers to get regular check-ups in the hopes of detecting cancer early and discourage people from smoking.
