Walmart customers in a few locations throughout the United States now have the option of picking up their groceries curbside — after ordering them online.

In June, the service was doubled in four markets: Nashville, Tennessee; Charleston, South Carolina; Kansas City, Missouri and Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Testing in select markets began in September 2015. The service has since slowly expanded to multiple states.

U.S. residents who wish to use the service may visit and enter a zip code to see if the service is available to them. If it is, customers then browse the Walmart Grocery's online assortment. It is priced equally to what's in the store, according to

Customers choose their store and select a time slot for pick-up. They have a $30 minimum purchase requirement. Pickup is free, and stores offering the service have designated parking spots for those getting their groceries.

Walmart isn't the only large retailer offering curbside grocery pickup — Kroger grocery stores in some parts of the country have been testing ClickList, a similar service.

Walmart is also testing grocery delivery via ride-sharing services Uber and Lyft, ride-sharing services that will drive food directly to customers.
