A nine-year-old boy managed to raise $1,591 for the Falmouth Police Department in Massachusetts after two officers were shot last week, and he did it all while selling lemonade.

According to WCVB Boston, in return for Joe Ledwick’s hard work, Chief Edward Dunne presented him with the chief's award coin, a certificate and a department pin.

The two officers are still recovering after they were shot responding to a disturbance call, but both are expected to be ok.

The suspect was also shot and remains hospitalized.

The Falmouth Police Department also took to social media to thank Joe for his hard work.
