President Trump said he would not hesitate to close the U.S.-Mexico border “permanently if need be” and suggested Mexico send the asylum-seeking migrants “back to their countries.”
In a tweet Monday morning, the president said: “Mexico should move the flag waving Migrants, many of whom are stone cold criminals, back to their countries.”
Mexico should move the flag waving Migrants, many of whom are stone cold criminals, back to their countries. Do it by plane, do it by bus, do it anyway you want, but they are NOT coming into the U.S.A. We will close the Border permanently if need be. Congress, fund the WALL!

Trump made the threat a day after a group of migrants from the Central American caravan marched toward the border in San Ysidro, with hundreds attempting to enter the U.S. illegally by rushing through the border crossing.
The action led to chaos at the crossing, forcing U.S. border agents to deploy tear gas to disperse the mass crowds, road closures and the closure of a busy shopping center.
Meanwhile, Mexican authorities said hundreds of those who were detained after trying to rush the border on Sunday would be deported to their home countries.
