Chicago police say the bodies of four men, one woman and a child have been found inside a home on the city's South Side.
Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says investigators believe all six who were found on Thursday were homicide victims, but they do not yet know the cause of death.
He says police entered the house after receiving a call from a co-worker to check the welfare of the occupants of a home in Chicago's Gage Park neighborhood.
Police arriving at the single-family home just after 1 p.m. saw one body, went inside and saw five more bodies.
They have not determined the cause of death.
