1 dead, 4 hurt in shooting at McDonald's in Alabama

ALABAMA — A 20-year-old man was killed when a suspect shot him and four other people at a McDonald's restaurant near Auburn University.

Police said in a news release the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Four other people had non-life threatening injuries; one is an Auburn student.

The four injured are 16, 17, 19 and 21 years old. No identities have been released.

It is believed the gunfire was the result of an altercation. When police arrived, there was a large group at the scene. 

Police did not say whether the suspect has been apprehended.
